Every now and then I see someone doing something really stupid or dangerous. This guy was sliding down a rather steep cliff that led to a rocky bottom.
They are headed towards this gorgeous beach in California’s Big Sur at Julia Pfeiffer State Park.
I get the idea that they wanted to run around on the nice sand and play around in the McWay waterfall, but still seems like a bad idea to me. Like every time I go near San Francisco’s Cliff House, the Sutro Baths ruins or anyplace in that general area, people will stand on slippery rocks, with their back to the ocean, so their friend can take their photo. It is not my job to tell them what to do, but I always get that sick feeling I am going to see someone fall into the ocean, or off a cliff and then what? I am sure I have done just as many silly and dangerous things, but it was different, I felt like I was invincible, I suppose they do too.
The signs are there, you just have to look for them.
